NICHOLAS BARTON
Producer/Chief Executive
Nick Barton has been a Producer since 1970, originally producing advertising commercials. He founded Network Television in 1981 producing series such as “The World A Television History” “Spaceship Earth” and “The French Foreign Legion”.
In 1989 he joined Paravision UK with Linda Agran and together they formed AGRAN BARTON TV (ABTV) whose credits include “Moving Story” (ITV) “Bye Bye Baby” (Film on Four) “Boswell & Johnson” (BBC) “The Wimbledon Prisoner” (BBC) “The 7 Wonders of the World” (C4) “The Vanishing Man” (ITV), and “Great Excavations” a major 6-part documentary for C4.
Harbour Pictures was created in 1999 as the film production subsidiary of ABTV Ltd. Having secured a first-look deal with Buena Vista International (the distribution arm of Disney) Nick produced his first feature film ‘CALENDAR GIRLS’ the no 1 UK Box office hit in 2002/3.
He then produced ‘KINKY BOOTS’ his next feature film for Buena Vista/Miramax in 2004/5 which was released in 2005/6. He has been a member of BAFTA since 1983.
